In India, before every phone call, especially the first call of the day or during certain alerts, we all hear a familiar voice — Amitabh Bachchan warning us about cyber frauds. It’s an important message, no doubt.
But what if you’re in a real emergency?
Recently, a horrifying incident occurred — an explosion killed 242 people in just 38 seconds. Imagine in such a crisis, someone trying to call for help... and before they can even speak to a responder, they are forced to wait through a 30-second recording.
Would that delay cost lives? What if someone is having a heart attack or a serious accident — are we helping them stay safe from scams but losing them to slow response time?
While spreading awareness is necessary, shouldn't we limit the warning to just the first call of the day or provide a better system for emergency bypass?
This is not about celebrity voices — it's about saving lives. The intention was noble, but is the execution flawed?
